The Brewers & Blues Against Hunger event in Vista California at the Aztec Brewing Company was the first event of the 6-month food drive blues jam tour. The event set the bar very high with a stellar all-star lineup of caring musicians coming together to share their passion for the blues and their commitment to their community. A Successful 2017 Baja Blues Tour!

The Wild Pack band and Tsunami Band and traveling fans completed the 2000 mile 2017 BLUES AGAINST HUNGER TOUR (www.bluesagainsthunger.org) tour from Ensenada Baja California to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.

The tour featured the nicest venues and location on the Baja, including the historic Hotel Hacienda in Mulege, The Oasis Resort in Loreto, Hotel Los Pescadores in Los Barriles, The Baja Brewing Company in San Jose del Cabo, and The Distillery in Todos Santos.

The Blues Against Hunger concert tour raised thousands in non-perishable food for the hungry in each community and packed the house each night. For additional information visit www.bluesagainsthunger.org, or www.bajablues.com

From Patty Rodriguez: We wished we could of feed the entire surrounding cities but nevertheless the Blues Against Hunger Food donations feed many in need families, all thanks to the generosity of the Viva Punta Banda community. A total of 75 families (local and farm workers) were given food bags. It really does take a village! THANK YOU!

Blues Against Hunger is a great success at the House of Blues in San Diego

May 18, 2016 -  The Blues Against Hunger at the House of Blues in San Diego was a great success.  We collected two 50 Gallon barrels of food for folks at San Diego Rescue Mission. The event featured a performance by Chet Cannon and the Committee, the Wild Pack band and an all-star blues jam. I want to thank everyone that donated to the Blues Against Hunger and those that that joined us. Thank you for all that came out; we had a wonderful time Saturday, Sept 26, 2015 for the Blues Against Hunger Benefit Concert on the Palapa Patio at PARADISE COVE TIKI BAR, Km 36 Rosartio Beach, BC Hosted by (us) Wild Pack and featuring ATM Band and The Baja Barrocho Allstars.

It was really cool to see Blues maestro Chet Cannon with his lovely wife Mary show up to our Rosarito Beach Blues Against Hunger Concert on Saturday - Sept 26, 2015. What a fun day, with a great turn out and lots of friends including Maureen Minehan, Franny Morris, Craig Klein, Dick Cadger and Kathy Thompson all the way from San Felipe and guitar builder extraordinaire Steve Kinney, that gave me an opportunity to play his custom "Crossroads" guitar.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! PUNTA BANDA: Rachel and I would like to thank EVERYONE for a very successful BLUES AGAINST HUNGER CONCERT event on Sept 5, 2015 at La Marina Resturant in Punta Banda BC. The food donations were incredible, even 100lb. bag of beans and 100lb. bag of rice = estimted 300lb of food. We can't thank you all enough. Successful BAHS Baja Tour!

Glad to be home from our 1st Annual Blues Against Hunger Baja Tour; Feb. 4 -16, 2015. The 2015 Baja Tour was a huge success, we had an incredible time in Ensenada, Mulege, Loreto, La Paz, Los Barriles, Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos. We raised an enormous amount of food for the less fortunate in each of the Baja communities and made many, many new friends. Next years tour is even going to be bigger and all venues want to help make each community not only a concert but a full blown festival. The amount of music talent up and down the Baja is incredible.

A Big 300 Pound Thank You!

A big thanks to John B Pack and Rachel Pack for their food drive and great work with http://bluesagainsthunger.org/. They are spending the summer singing on behalf of the hungry! They collected about 300 pounds of food last month for the Voluntarios sin limites and Paty in San Felipe BC. They shared the food donated with Kuchy's family who are continuing her work to feed the hungry in San Felipe B.C.
