Blues and BBQ at The Couch in Citrus Heights!

One Fun Night of Blues, BBQ and Helping the Community! Come out for a night of blues and barbecue at the The Couch at 7431 Madison Ave. in Citrus Heights on Sept 11, 2014 from 6-8pm. The blues duo Wild Pack will be performing to help collect food for the California Emergency Foodlink of Sacramento County. The event is FREE, however they are asking for a non-perishable food donation (can goods and dried goods are best).

The Couch is an award winning neighborhood bar and lounge with lot’s of couches and outdoor seating as well including wonderful food and friendly atmosphere. Voted Best Dining and Nightlife in Citrus Heights and nominated by KCRA 3 A-List for the best neighborhood bar, you know you’ll have a good time. During the event The Couch will be serving up delicious BBQ plates for only $8, and Kamikaze’s for $3.
Wild Pack duo combines old school blues classics with a heavy blues rock sound of the 1960’s and 1970’s. “We’re sort of a fun rockin’, beer drinkin’, booty shakin’ blues”, says bassists Sweet.

“This is a great time for this event because food banks are in need,” said John Pack, Director, Blues Against Hunger. “Statistically, donations are much lower over the summer months forcing many families and elderly to turn to food banks and donations for help. This event is a great way to help provide much needed food for families while giving the locals a fun and inexpensive way to be exposed to blues music and help their community.”

The Blues Against Hunger is a community outreach campaign, bringing people together to address human needs and transform lives. Please donate to your local food bank, or visit BLUESAGAINSTHUNGER.ORG to find a food bank near you.

BLUES AGAINST HUNGER
The BLUES AGAINST HUNGER organization fights hunger with blues music. The organization produces blues musical food drives, featuring both band showcases and jams. The events are always FREE with the donation of any non-perishable food item. All donations going to the food bank within each specific community.
