A Night of Blues to Benefit San Diego Rescue Mission

Come out and enjoy a night blues at the House of Blues on 1055 Fifth Ave, San Diego on Wednesday, May 18 from 7PM - 11PM. Join Chet Cannon and the Committee, along with Wild Pack and other special guests. Let's come together and make a joyous sound and difference.

The blues concert and jam is presentation of Jammingout.Net and is a food drive to benefit the San Diego Rescue Mission. The event is FREE, however they are asking for a non-perishable food donation. In addition to a jam with popular blues musicians from the region, the event also includes a concert performances by Chet Cannon & The Committee an award winning band that has been playing blues in San Diego since 2001, and the leader of the group Chet Cannon is known to be a “terminal blues fan”. Also performing is Wild Pack, a hard-hitting blues trio from Mexico that combines old school blues with a heavy blues

Short BAHS History and Future

The Blues Against Hunger Society was established to help those in need by producing blues concert food drives. In an effort to accomplish this goal, we have produced many BAHS events and raised thousands of pounds of food. The first BAHS tour was 2014 and included 9 cities from San Diego California to Medford Oregon, The second BAHS was February of 2015 was in 7 cities in Baja California Mexico from San Felipe to Cabo San Lucas.

Blues Against Hunger Society featured in Blues Festival Guide

Hunger with blues music. Blues and hunger are both born of poverty, and through blues, they aim to help the hungry. BAHS brings together blues fans and musicians worldwide to share their passion for all styles of blues music and helping our fellow man. The BAHS produce and support members’ blues events and have raised thousands of pounds of food for the hungry by enjoying the blues. It is their mission to ensure the continuation of blues music and to reduce hunger by producing The North American Jam Tour, an annual nationwide tour.

Two Cities Two Local Newspaper Support

It's pretty exciting when you arrive in town and find you're on the cover of two regional newspapers. Thanks Baja News and Baja Times for supporting Blues Against Hunger...both events: The Lighthouse in La Mission and The Fiesta Hotel in Rosarito Beach. They Both were a great success and we raised a truck load of food between the two events. Thanks again to everyone that donated!
